John F. VerPlanck grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. He has lived in Alaska,New York, California, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Scandinavia and Maine,where he now resides with his wife,Jennifer. After serving in the Marine Corps Air Wing, he spent over three decades in commercial aviation.He is an author as well as a wine store owner ( The Black Sheep Wine and Beer Shop). His current novels are : Pacific Air 55 is Missing and Tailwind.
